Children from the hospital are cute, but exchausting as well. Despite of all-afternoon-long-children's-screaming-and-pulling-ears, Rupert seemed to be blissful. And still cheerful. Dogs'll stand everything if you care about them. Give love. And sometimes let to pee on a hydrant.
Jeremy was following the dog, which was stopping from time to time and waiting. Evening was very lazy. And quite nice. It won't hurt Jem to take some photos.

Dad was a stockbroker on the Wall Street. Extremely absorbing job, father was in home only on weekends. Sometimes. He was like stranger to Jem. Boy felt that he is letting dad down all the time. Mr Archer would rather see his son studing human's skeleton than sitting in the darkroom every evening.
Mum has been paiting since her childhood. She was sweet, absent-minded, betautiful and deliciously unpractical, loved parties,. Jeremy used to taking her thousands of photos because of her photogenic face. Perfect model, but poor mother. It must be noted that she has been trying to show her love to Jem in her own peculiar way, but results were usually meagre. According to Jem, it wasn't her fault. She was too disarming... Always resembled Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby, Jeremy's favourite book.
The sun was falling down. Its light was blending boy's eyes. His smartphone sounded. Dodd. Where are you, my dear? I'm starting to be jealous of young lady called Mia!!! :P Shall we spend this evening together? Love you. x Boy smiled. Dodd, one person, who can comfort, cheer up and curb Jem's anger successfully. The only protector. If he weren't one day on the proper party, Jeremy would die. Choking his own vomit. Not very graceful death... Fortunately, Dodd helped him. And later used to helping him many times. Fixed a total wreck - Jeremy Archer. Thank you, dude.
Why he was the wreck? Another one disgraceful story. Jem had been a coward for a long time. And wanted to commit suicide. Why?! Because it had seemed to him his life has no sense. Because parents don't pay enaugh attention to him. Because world is full of evil. Because he started drinking and couldn't stop. Because he's strange and can't deal with it! Jem had burst into tears when he told his story to Dodd. He just started laughing.
'Kid, you don't know what the hell you're talking about!' Dodd said it out loud and kissed Jem's forehead. 'Let's go to the Michigan. For a walk.' It changed everything...
